Jose Martino Alba

Jose has more than 25 years of experience in the Pharma sector, especially in Asia. From 1991 to 2002, he was Country Manager of Hong Kong and China of Schering AG and played a key role in divesting their operations in agrochemicals, industrial chemicals and electroplating. From 2002 to 2007, he was President and Representative Director of Nihon Schering K.K., a $570M Japanese manufacturer / distributor of pharmaceuticals and subsidiary of Schering AG. Since 2007, Jose working as consultant to Chinese companies interested in the European market.

Dr. Cornelius Boersch

Since 1991, Conny has been an entrepreneur, e.g. as founder and CEO of ACG. He was responsible for the IPO in 1999 (NEMAX50) and its growth strategy. In 2000 he was elected entrepreneur of the year. After ACG he was shareholder and investment manager of a German-Swiss investment group. Conny is considered one of the most acknowledged business angels and fund investors in Europe (nominated “European Business Angel of the Year” in 2009). Since 2005, Conny has focused his activities in Mountain Partners Group. He studied Business Administration at ebs European Business School, in Colorado and Paris.

Ravi Chidambaram

Ravi’s entire 16 year professional career has been spent in the investment banking industry, working for prestigious institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and Bear Stearns. During this time, he worked on a number of landmark telecom transactions, including the privatizations of Deutsche Telekom, MATAV Hungary and Singapore Telecom and he has become a real expert in M&A transaction. Ravi is also working with Taishan on M&A transaction within the Taishan portfolio and beyond.

Dr. Jovan Hsu

Jovan is the founder of Chinbid.com (1999), merged with Eachnet.com - later acquired by eBay (2003). He also founded The Chinese Founders Fund, a Green & T.M.T. - focused VC firm and Jovan Ventures, a T.M.T.-dedicated angel investment firm. Jovan’s investments include some of the early startups in the areas of DNS, C-C auction, online payment, search engine, digital publishing, and mobile services in China as well as e-commerce in Taiwan, green technology in Vietnam & Romania, and high-technology companies in the US.

Jovanka Porsche

As Co-Founder of Teltschik Hauer Associates and Chief Executive Officer, Jovanka Porsche (formerly Jovanka Hauer) offers wide ranging advice and support based on years of experience in the fields of international investment banking and finance as well as corporate management and restructuring. Based first in Germany, then Hong Kong and eventually London, Mrs. Porsche was working for the leading Asian investment bank where she developed successful strategies for companies entering Asian markets. 

Philip Qu

As Taishan’s Chief Legal Counsel, Philip actively supports and structures all legal issues for the fund and its portfolio companies. Philip is a top lawyer for foreign direct investments, M&A as well as private equity and venture capital. He has supported numerous leading international media companies like Time Warner, Walt Disney and Google with their operations in China. Moreover, Philip is a member of the Advisory Board to the Telecoms Administration of the PRC Ministry of Information Industry and was awarded ‘Asia’s Leading Lawyer’ for PRC IT & Telecoms Law several times. Besides, he is also an active Business Angel and is invested in a couple of early stage companies in China. He earned his LL.B from Peking University Law School.

Leo Wang

Leo is the founder of Mobile2.0 Forum with 1500+ professional members from Telecom, Internet and Mobile industry. He is dedicated to the wireless industry and very well experienced in this area. During the past 8 years, he has been working in telecommunication; value added service, social networking service, mobile application and handset platform field. Such as being founder of BOSSONLY.COM and being advisory for companies such as Deutsche Telekom China, MediaTek (MTK) Investment Dept. or Yeepay.com.

Daniel Wild

Daniel was founder and CEO of getmobile AG, the leading provider of online and TV sales for mobiles in Germany. Since 2001, he is active as an institutionalized business angel and CEO of Tiburon Partners AG; he for instance actively supported the growth of Xing, Lokalisten, StudiVZ and many other successful startups. He was raised for several years in China and since then developed his network in this region as well.

Brian Weimin Xin

Brian has rich experience in Internet, Mobile, software development, and technology business management, in both startups and multinational companies. Brian is the current CTO of MSN China. Before joining MSN, Brian was the Chief Technology Officer of iKang, the first IT-based healthcare management company in China. Brian received his BSEE and MSEE from Tsinghua University in China. Brian served as the president of Tsinghua Alumni Association of Northern California (THAA-NC) during 2004-2005.

Wang Zhidong

Wang Zhidong is a serial entrepreneur and business angel investor. He is a founder and former CEO of Sina (NASDAQ:SINA). From 1992, Wang Zhidong established Beijing new world of electronic information technology institute, RichWin information and technology LTD and Sina. He is a chief designer of several Chinese platforms like BDWin, Chinese Star, RichWin. He was president and CEO of RichWin and Sina for a long time, succeed in several global finance operation and led Sina to be the largest Chinese portal site and go public in NASDAQ in 2000. Right now, he is CEO of Dianji Science and Technology LTD.

Zany Yian Zeng

Zany is Co-founder?Executive Director and COO of Oak Pacific Interactive, which was founded in 2002, focusing on creating China's next generation largest interactive entertainment network rich-media platform in new internet communication and transmission way by following new generation spirit. Currently OPI owns a number of well-known internet sites and brands, such as mop.com, xiaonei.com, donews.com, uume.com, banma.com. Previously, Zany was first person who joined chinaren.com as technology director, presided over the development of product "alumni club", which represents China's younger generation online life.
